The Pheromoans. A crucial band for boring times

An epic chronicle on the Pheromoans is due out on this website sometime before Armageddon, as it is imperative that you become aware of their peerless majesty before we all turn into radioactive powder. But for starters, let’s briefly mention that they hail from London and will have a new LP out on Upset The Rhythm on August 20th. A few weeks ago, one of its tracks was released. It’s called ‘“I’m A You Know What“:

Feels like the exact moment one decides to take a life-changing decision.

Like waking up from a nap out there in the sun, trying to escape a weird dream by counting the particles of dust flying around.

Like talking for hours at night with some close friend, only noticing that time has passed as the early morning bus roars down the street.

Some even say it feels like absorbing opiates (when the bass and drums irrupt at 0:34)

These few lines may be totally useless, given that I never understand a bloody word of Russell’s mumblings (“chippendale” was all I could grasp, here). The fact is, Russell is a terrific writer (you can check his poetry book, or his blog with short stories and weird statements). It’s just a shame they never include lyrics in their records. Booh, let’s start a petition.
