Pillowdiver

Pillowdiver is a project by René Margraff, a music nerd currently living in Berlin.  Over a little chat we’ve had, he explained he finds influence in early Labradford and Bowery Electric, among other «really uncool stuff that others would feel as ironic. But fuck irony.» Starting music as a guitar player in indie rock bands, René got to focus on a more personal musical approach after moving to the capital and getting a job in music software support.  On a shifting set-up, the drones he creates using sometimes samplers or the computer, recording straight to cassettes, build up a hypnotic subtelty ; kind of feels like being in the middle of a haze in which time dissolves, leaving an evolving dreamy matter to… well, dive into.

He is also part of the Two People in a Room duo and has a side project called Le Mépris.
